Google Pixel

Recent reports claim that Google is suiting up to launch the watered down variants of its star products: Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. The newer versions will be called Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL respectively, and they will likely be all set to hit the shelves by spring 2019. Previous rumors had claimed the names of the newer versions to be Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 Lite XL, as they were spotted in the recent Android Q beta code. However, new reports have confirmed Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL to be the official names of the smartphones along with leaking more information on the brand new cousins of Google’s flagship products.

Reports are also claiming that Pixel 3a will be equipped with a full 1080*2220 pixels HD+ resolution in a 5.6-inch OLED display as well as the pixel density of 440ppi. It is also rumored that the smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 670 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM. However, there has been no information about the internal storage so far, even though gadget enthusiasts speculate that it will come with 64GB of internal storage. There have been no reports on whether it would be expandable. Pixel 3a is also rumored to have a single 12-MP camera in the rear and an 8-MP camera at the front. The battery is speculated to be 3000mAh.

While not much is known about the hardware of Pixel 3a XL, rumors suggest it would boast of a 6.0-inch display and be powered by Snapdragon 710 SoC, coupled with 6GB RAM. Both of them will likely feature eSIM support, Google’s Titan M Security chip and Active Edge for edge squeeze gestures. In terms of design, both devices will reportedly be available in three colors, two of which are Clearly White and Just White.
