Samsung’s Galaxy M series will Receive Pie

South Korean smartphone giant, Samsung is all set to launch their new product, the Galaxy M-Series in India on January 28. But just before the launch event, the company indirectly confirmed that two more smartphones from the  Galaxy series will be launched along with the M-series and will also receive the much-anticipated Android Pie update. In the Samsung Members app, Samsung’s roadmap for Android Pie suggested that the Samsung Galaxy M10 and Samsung Galaxy M20 will receive Android Pie in the near future. But this also indicates that the two phones which will be launched in next week will have with the older version of Android out-of-the-box.

SamMobile was the first one to spot these smartphones on the Members app list. The Samsung Galaxy M10 and Samsung Galaxy M20 have been on the list to receive Android Pie somewhere in August this year, and this stretch has bee regarding the software support. These two phones should ideally be launched along with the Android Pie running out-of-the-box, but it seems like that is not the situation. Samsung should consider working overtime to roll out these update to the to-be-launched new handsets soon. But it is quite possible that the listing is a sheet mistake, which might be removed soon since the phones haven’t been launched as of now.

This little slip-up in the Members app might end up giving more priority to these 2 phones which will be launched in the upcoming weeks. A recent report suggested that the Samsung Galaxy M10 will apparently have a starting price of Rs. 7,990, and the Samsung Galaxy M20 will have a starting price of Rs. 10,990. The smartphones will be made available on and Samsung Online Shop starting from February 5, which was separately confirmed by Samsung.

The first-ever ‘M’ series smartphones will come with an Infinity-V display and will have a huge amount of battery power. Samsung’s facility in Noida, India which is the world’s largest mobile phone factory said that these M phones are being said to be manufactured just for the millennials. Reports suggested that the Samsung Galaxy M20 will come with a massive 5,000mAh battery whereas the Galaxy M10 will come with a 3,500mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy M10 will supposedly include a 6.2-inch HD+ (720×1520 pixels) display, come with a 14nm octa-core Exynos 7870 SoC, and will be coupled with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM. With respect to the imaging front, Samsung might consider including a dual-camera setup on the back of the Galaxy M10 which will have a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. The Samsung Galaxy M10 will reportedly run on Android 8.1 Oreo, and will be 7.7mm thick, and would weigh 160 grams.
